After notarisation, many documents require additional formalities before they can be used overseas. You may have been asked to obtain an Apostille from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and sometimes additional authentication from the embassy of the overseas country. This is legalisation. I will discuss with you whether this is necessary and if so, explain exactly what this involves.
